Howdy and welcome to the first annual Valley 7 Lakes Marathon and Half Marathon, presented by Fathom Realty. We hope your training is going well. We've had a relatively mild midwestern winter to our advantage. We are busily working to make sure you have the opportunity to "Run To Your Potential!" Our Half Marathon (NE19019GM) and Full Marathon (NE19020GM) are now USATF Certified and Sanctioned. Our course is nothing but Greased Lightning. Flat as a pan, completely closed roads, see attached map. The Half is one loop, the Full repeats, and finishes at the same spot. Perfect for Boston Marathon, New York City Marathon, Olympic Trials, etc. qualifying. And even better for your personal best! Long stretches of asphalt country roads will greet your effort. We'll have aid stations (water tables and porta cans) at every 5K interval.
Our Host Hotel is the Residence Inn Marriott Omaha West, 18202 Cuming St. 402-289-9500. Located just minutes from our start line in Valley. Be sure and tell them you are with the marathon to receive our special race rate. There will be a shuttle service from the hotel to the start. We will be having a packet pick up at the hotel on Friday from noon until 4:00. We will also have packet pick up race morning at the VFW just around the corner from the start/finish, opening at 5:00 a.m. We will have race staff and volunteers on hand to answer your questions race morning.
This event is being offered by Nebraska Run Guru Elite, Inc. Our 501 (c) 3 not for profit is dedicated to providing healthy lifestyle opportunities to youth and adults. We are a USA Track and Field member club. USATF is the national governing body for our sport and programs like ours are important, fostering grassroots development and opportunities for serious athletes to pursue goals up to and including the Olympic Games.
